Grace Enger and Jake Minch delight fans at Cambridge’s Sonia

On Wednesday, March 5, Grace Enger and Jake Minch performed to a sold-out crowd at Sonia in Cambridge. Fans lined up hours before the show, eager to experience this anticipated event.​

Jake Minch opened the evening with a set that included older favorites and unreleased tracks. His reserved stage presence exuded a charming authenticity, drawing the audience into his introspective world. Performing solo, one couldn’t help but imagine the added depth a full band might bring to his sound.​

Grace Enger’s entrance immediately elevated the room’s energy. Her performance was a masterclass in joy and engagement, each song delivered with infectious enthusiasm. The setlist was a journey through her musical repertoire, featuring tracks like “Think I Wanna See You Again,” “Ruin,” and “The Alchemist.” Midway, she invited Jake back on stage for a delightful rendition of their collaboration, “Good Stuff,” showcasing their musical chemistry. The night culminated with “It’s No Fun,” a fan favorite that built to a rousing conclusion, leaving the audience in euphoric spirits despite it being a rainy March evening in Boston.

Both Jake Minch and Grace Enger delivered memorable sets that resonated with fans, old and new alike, showcasing sometimes the most intimate of venues deliver the best musical experiences.
